Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Lisa Fuller is a 5th grade teacher and has been at Kaysville Elementary for 17 years! She had wonderful teachers and wanted to be just like them so she because a teacher too! She loves to help her students learn and grow their brains and self esteem. Her dream vacation would be to stay on the beach and have a private chef! Guess what? She graduated from East High School…the same high school that the High School Musical movies were filmed!

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Abbie Finlinson is a 1st grade teacher and Kaysville Elementary. She come from a long line of teachers…her mom, both grandmas and her grandpa were all educators! One thing she loves about teaching is when something finally clicks in a student. Her dream vacation is Disneyland and if she wasn’t a teacher she would love to be a Disney Imagineer. One fun fact about her is that she adopted twin girls from Tonga and spent a month living there and in Fiji.

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Debbi Dobson is Nutrition Services Manager. She enjoys being with her family, traveling, and playing with her dog…a 130 pound fluffy Golden Pyrenees. Another job she would love would be a surgeon. She love Café Rio, Fresca with crushed Ice and the Boston Red Sox. She gets to travel to fun locations with her husband twice a year and she loves it!

Her favorite children’s book is Knuffle Bunny and her favorite part of her job is getting to work with kids every day! One fun fact about her is that she is originally from Canada and has only been in Utah for two years!

America is turning 250 — and our students have something to say.

Davis School District is hosting Voices of a Nation: Student Perspectives on 250 Years of America, a districtwide speaking event aligned with America 250 Utah.

Students from every school and grade level are invited to apply to deliver an original speech about America’s past, present or future.

Selected students will receive mentorship and take the stage on May 4, 2026, at the Davis Instructional Services Center in Layton. The event will be professionally produced and live streamed for the community.

You don’t have to be famous to have something worth saying.

Take the mic. Share your idea. Be part of the story.

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Catherine Kohl is the Principal of Kaysville Elementary. She loves to read, spend time with family, exercise and travel. Her favorite book is A Tale of Two Beasts and her dream vacation would be an African Sarari. One part of her job she loves is witnessing all the fabulous instruction that happens at Kaysville Elementary and being part of a dedicated staff. A fun fact about Mrs. Koh is that she competed in the Jr. Olympics when she was in 8th grade!

He loves hiking with his dogs, popcorn, and soccer (both playing and watching it). He was once featured in a Scottish Newspaper for traveling 4,500 miles to see a soccer team I've been a fan of since college: Greenock Morton FC
