Driver Education

First, students must complete the ONLINE classroom portion of Driver Education through Davis Connect.
 

• To enroll in the online course, contact your CURRENT SCHOOL COUNSELOR. They will put you into the online class with Davis Connect.
   
• Complete ALL the assignments in the Canvas course with at least an 80% and complete the final test with at least an 80%. A minimum grade of B- on your transcript is required. NOTE: Earning below an 80%/B- or not fulfilling all the course requirements will result in an F on the transcript, and the course will need to be retaking.

Second, students must complete the DRIVING (in-person) course portion of Driver Education AFTER successfully completing the online coursework with a B- (or better) on their transcript.
 

• Students have two options for completing the driving course portion within Davis School District:

  1.    Enroll with a certified driving instructor through Davis Connect

  2.   Enroll with a certified driving instructor at your boundary school

• If you would like either of the driving course options (listed above) within Davis School District, please let us know by completing the form at the end of the Davis Connect online Driver Education Canvas course

• Keep in mind with the boundary school or Davis Connect driving options that there may be a 60- to 90-day waiting period to be scheduled to drive. The information provided in the form must be accurate to avoid additional scheduling delays.

• Whichever option you choose, a driving fee of $100 will be placed on your myDSD account and must be paid in order to drive.
